I heard this was recently found in the sands near the beach Comey was walking on. Seems like a sort of confession?

Now, β is often /b/ in Ancient Greek and /v/ in Modern Greek. While ь has no independent sound but modifies or softens the previous consonant in Cyrillic languages. ч is usually like “ch” in “church.” And, daleth is historically something like /d/. Together - beached. Take THAT, DOJ. :D!

The Blanche Subpoena is the very real crisis for us all, in some way. In the laugh and cry of all this, while the above may be the “laugh,” the “cry” here is the serious point.

For all intents and purposes, Trump is using the monopoly the state has on force to simply upend Mr. Comey’s life.

Mr. Comey will be spending his retirement - after a lifetime of public service - back in the musty conference rooms of law offices fighting for…his freedom.

As far-fetched as that sounds, CONVICTION would have consequences.

Consequences Mr. Comey has to keep in the back of his mind.

And, ones his family will have in the front of their minds. Constantly.

Short of BEING disappeared, the effect is one a disappeared person’s family would know well - the constant anxiety, “What will the state do to my husband, father, son?”

Colleague.

Not to mention the cost.

We can assume it’s pro bono, but can we? And, it is SCORES of hours.

Retirement? Forget it.

And, HERE is where we become like Odysseus, resisting in this case the VIRTUOUS call to RAGE against this outrage, but to realize that in doing so, it is very likely the case that we are doing Trump’s media work for him.

The indictment will fill B-roll tonight and going forward on every right wing outlet.

And, Harry, even look at your own framing - the image of the two facing off, right?

In some sense I wish we could just start a 100% liquidity GoFundMe for Comey, so we can know he’ll be comfortable during this interregnum of authoritarianism.

I’ll tell you - NO LOVE LOST here toward Mr. Comey. Surely you can infer his actions were dispositive in getting Trump elected the FIRST time.

But, in a republic such as ours dedicated to the rule of law, what’s happening to him is WRONG.

But, we - as Odysseus again - it AINT about the election(s).
