But, be honest, though. Gripping the lectern there like an angry school headmaster and gravely reading out those two-parters, and - clearly - they are read, what he has hit on is almost a kind of an Inverse Trump rally.

“The President who once tried to overturn his own defeat now tries to jail elected leaders of the opposition, prosecute Americans who defy or criticize him, and seize control of elections nationwide.”
“As he indulges in careless militarism around the world, he plans a monument to himself so tall it will disrupt air traffic into our nation’s capital.”
Go ahead. Change the voice. See?
That’s not enough.
Just evoking ire and shouting, “Corruption!” is not policy.
I read the transcript for the 4/18 Augusta rally.
I didn’t see where Ossoff said, “Raise wages for working people.”
Not once.
“And this corruption is why insurance companies get away with denying your claim for a procedure you needed to save your life.”
“This corruption is why Big Tech’s still allowed to spy on us and track our every move and sell our private lives to the highest bidder.”
“This corruption is why the ultra rich get tax cuts while you pay more for everything.”
“All of this, the corruption, the callous neglect, and needless suffering signal not just a political crisis, but a moral one.”
“Across Georgia, more and more of every background and belief reject this chaos and corruption.”
Stop talking in generalities. Start talking SPECIFICS.
Raise wages.
A G.Z. Bill for Gen Z - to buy starter homes.
And a fair, lawful, and rewarding resolution to immigration, faithful to the American tradition.
The right media machine is relentless. They plan to parody the next democrat into oblivion.
It’s what they did to Kamala Harris.
See? Look at how, in the space of an hour, every right account took their marching orders on the WHCD shooting, “This means we need the ballroom…”
It’s organized.
Whoever wants to lead Democrats forward, you need to be organized, too.
Policy. Explained to the dollar level. Here’s one,
“And, instead of capturing families, the new ICE will be TEACHING ENGLISH! Not in warehouses! But in classrooms newly constructed on existing schools and colleges across across this country…”
See? Hope! FUTURE! CHANGE!
Finally, to those in the “studios” - I’m lookin’ at you Mr. Axelrod - PLEASE stop saying, “political athlete.” It’s not a goddamn game. It’s about POLICY that creates an ever-functioning upward spiral. Talk SPECIFICS that solve people’s problems. We don’t need color commentary - we need solutions, and those who can explain, advocate and convince people of their value.
